2022 heralds the rise of China's low-carbon industry. The report presented at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China outlines strategic objectives for carbon peak and neutrality, emphasizing the imperative to “thoroughly advance the energy revolution...speed up the planning and development of a system for new energy sources.”
In order to capitalize on the low-carbon opportunities and actively contribute to the national system for new energy sources, numerous Chinese enterprises are striving to set new benchmarks for energy and environmental stewardship, positioning themselves as leaders in green and low-carbon advancement. Among these, Duofu Group, a prominent member of China's Top 500 Enterprises, has embarked on a transformational journey. Anchored in industrial prowess and a commitment to excellence, the group has proactively diversified into the realm of renewable energy, engaging in the development of smart cities and industrial parks while also catalyzing advancements in general aviation and urban air transportation systems around the globe. Consequently, Duofu has shifted its focus towards a new trajectory centered on green and low-carbon development, underpinned by digital intelligence.
Energy Transformation: Setting the Standard for Green and Smart Cities
The year 2022 has brought forth new developments and opportunities. Duofu Group has identified energy transformation as a pivotal gateway to the creation of green and low-carbon cities, spearheading the construction of renewable energy-based smart cities in China, Indonesia, and other nations, thereby fostering global connectivity. Early on, Duofu Group participated in the construction of the new Indonesian capital, sharing its expertise in smart city and green low-carbon development, and introducing a novel urban concept. The group remains committed to empowering the construction of the new capital, aiming to establish it as a model of a green and smart city.
Li Zhenyu, vice president of Duofu Group, summarized Duofu’s renewable energy strategy as “technology-powered integrated systems, advanced industries with a global footprint, all-encompassing growth, and transformation.” He emphasized that Duofu will harness technological prowess to drive internal momentum, integrating the digital economy and green development to reduce the Group's carbon emissions and contribute to the carbon peak and neutrality goals. This will be achieved by providing a suite of advanced and mature carbon-reducing technologies, products, and solutions for society at large.
Digital Empowerment: Accelerating General Aviation Standardization
Digitization is pivotal to the development of renewable energy-based smart cities. On December 10th, Duofu Group hosted the Summit of Digital Economy, Green Development, and Carbon Reduction, along with signing ceremonies of strategic cooperation with HPE and Micro Focus. Themed “Building an Eco-friendly Future, Leveraging Digital Strength,” the event featured keynote speeches, signing ceremonies, and round-table dialogues, shedding light on the establishment of an ecological system of digital technologies.
In the opening remarks, Lyu Haiyan, vice president of Duofu Group, introduced the two leading technological companies, HPE from Silicon Valley and Micro Focus from the European innovation hub. Both companies boast a rich history and a robust industrial foundation. Given Duofu’s origins in Wenzhou, renowned for pioneering entrepreneurship, strategic cooperation with these leading partners is poised to elevate each other’s businesses to new heights.
In a bid to leverage each other's digital strengths and engage in strategic cooperation in the realms of the digital economy, green development, carbon reduction, and smart cities, Duofu Group has partnered with HPE and Micro Focus, both global top 500 companies renowned for their competitiveness in digitization and standardization. This cross-border strategic partnership is set to yield mutually beneficial results in technology cooperation and innovation in China, empowering the digital development of Duofu Aviation.
General aviation, as an emerging national strategic sector, propels the growth of other industries. However, the sector’s limited digitization and relatively low level of intelligence have impeded global general aviation progress. Enhancing the sector’s digital capabilities and accelerating digital transformation would not only enhance flight safety and aircraft operation efficiency but also support the high-quality growth of China’s general aviation sector.
HPE and Micro Focus boast extensive experience in aviation digitization and leading quality standard management systems, with Boeing, Airbus, and other renowned aviation companies among their clientele. Liao Yunwu, Vice President of Duofu Group and President of Duofu Aviation, emphasized that by leveraging its independent innovation and drawing on the digital strengths of HPE and Micro Focus, Duofu Aviation will be among the first Chinese aviation enterprises to adopt international quality standard systems. This move will realize its digital, intelligent, and electric-product strategy. In the near future, Duofu Aviation aims to digitize all factors, scenarios, processes, and even the entire industrial chain, ensuring safer flights, more efficient management, expanded services, and added value. This effort will accelerate the standardization of general aviation, propelling China’s aviation development to international standards.
Enhanced International Exchanges: Embracing the New Technological Revolution
The onset of a new technological revolution and industrial transformation underscores the imperative of integrating digital technologies and intelligence into more scenarios, particularly through enhanced international exchanges, aligning with real economic applications. At the Summit, attendees shared their insights through keynote speeches and round-table dialogues.
